Tourmalinated Quartz is not especially rare, but these are lovely examples and they have been lovingly carved into a heart shape.
The Tourmaline Crystals would have grown first and then been engulfed by super hot and pressurized silica bearing water. As this cooled it formed the Quartz Crystal around the pre existing Tourrmalines.
Metaphysically Clear Quartz represents White Light or Clear Consciousness.
Black Tourmaline is the opposite ~ it's all about the physical ~ energising, unblocking and empowering.
Put together by nature this is like the original Yin Yang Symbol bringing us a sense of the balance between above and below.
